Donations

As a free and open source software project, phpMyAdmin itself has almost no revenue. On the other hand, we do have some expenses. Currently, most of the project's funds are used to hire contractors for development and bug-fixing, and for travel expenses to allow team members to meet at conferences.

For the general public, the suggested donation amount is 10 USD.

PayPal

We invite you to contribute money to our project using the above PayPal button. PayPal is one of the most used online payment methods, it also accepts all major credit cards.

Check or Wire

We can also accept donations drawn in USD from banks in the USA (donations from banks outside of the US or not in USD should be handled by wire). Make checks payable to "Software Freedom Conservancy, Inc." and place "Directed donation: phpMyAdmin" in the memo field. Checks should be mailed to:

Conservancy can accept wire donations, but the instructions vary depending on the country of origin. Please contact accounting@sfconservancy.org for instructions.

Stock donations

Conservancy also accepts stock donations on behalf of the phpMyAdmin project. If you would like to donate stock, please contact accounting@sfconservancy.org for instructions on how to initiate the transfer.

Donations will be used for the promotion of phpMyAdmin, mostly by allowing team members to visit various conferences. Thanks.

Sponsorship

We welcome corporations (or individuals) to sponsor phpMyAdmin in a recurring way. The company can receive various benefits depending on sponsorship level.

Sponsorship Conditions and Advantages

• A sponsor has to commit to a yearly amount depending on the sponsorship level.
• Sponsorships are always on an annual basis and are not refundable once paid.
• Within a sponsorship level, sponsors are listed in the chronological order of their joining the sponsorship program.
• We reserve the right to change sponsorship levels in the future.
• The logo (if applicable) needs to be a static image, PNG is preferred.
• The link needs to point to the sponsor's homepage.
• The text (for text link or alternative text for image) can contain only your company name.
• We're not accepting sponsors in the following areas: adult content, gambling-related, binary options sites, certain alcohol, tobacco, or smokeless tobacco products, or sites linking to illegal content. If you have a potential site that may fall into these areas, email our sponsorship team for confirmation or details.
• The sponsorship terms are non-negotiable, and we do not provide any discounts to the sponsorship levels.

Sponsorship Process

1. Before starting, make sure your sponsorship fits our conditions. If unsure, ask us at donate@phpmyadmin.net.
2. Contact us at donate@phpmyadmin.net, and we will provide payment information and an invoice.
3. Payments can be made via wire transfer, ACH, or paper check. For Bronze level sponsorship, PayPal is also available.
4. Payments are processed by Software Freedom Conservancy, which may take about one week.
5. Your logo or text link will be placed on our website (depending on your sponsorship level).

New Sponsors

phpMyAdmin is a member project of the Software Freedom Conservancy. The Conservancy is a not-for-profit organization that provides financial and administrative assistance to open source projects. As a 501(c)(3) charity incorporated in New York, donations to the Conservancy are often tax-deductible in the USA.

If you use phpMyAdmin or offer it to your customers, please consider sponsoring the project with a yearly donation. Your support helps improve phpMyAdmin, brings developers to conferences, and covers the costs of running the project.
